Excellent! That happens to be one of the ones I am looking at. Good to know it's held up nicely after years of abuse.

There are hook straps at the bottom of the backpack... I just removed them since I carry my tripod around... Hi. My name is Butch...

Puckman Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 12, 2013 13:39 | #6769 Yeah. I can see the benefit of a tripod strap, for longer hikes, where I don't need my tripod while I'm hiking, but only after I arrive at my destination, for example. Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

lovemyram4x4 Goldmember More info | Nov 12, 2013 14:10 | #6770 I've been using the Tamrac Expedition series for a number of years now(tripod mounts on the back) with several modular pouches(that I also mount on a belt). Started with the 6x which I feel is a good size for travel(still large enough to bring a fair bit of kit but not too huge) but it was only big enough for a 14" laptop so I stepped up to the 7x when I got a 15.4" laptop. The 7x ended up being about 1" to short to store 1 body + 70-200 and 2nd body with standard zoom so I stepped up to the 8x. I sort of wish I still had the 6x now since the 7x and 8x are so close in size, but once I get around to selling the 7x I'll either get a 4/5x or one of the dual storage(one section for body/lenses and another for personal stuff like jacket/snacks) series if I stay with Tamrac that would be the Adventure series but I'm kind of liking the Evolution series for it's sling strap and quick access.
