Hey you were in my back yard today, the wetlands can be a great BIF location, I have a few secret spots I found there one time when riding my bike that are excellent. Next time you are thinking of going let me know a day or so ahead.

I ended up going to Orange for the sunset. Tried my very first pano shot. Tougher than it seems.
But here goes.

Nice shot Dean. I like the contrast of the clear skies and the dark clouds.

Thank you sir. These are 4 stitched shots, each shot at 18mm.
Worked out alright, but had to do a lot of tweaking in PS to get the stitching to work right.

I think I just learned that the distortion added by the 18-55 is not ideal as the frames don't line up correctly. Note to self: Next time, shoot more frames, with a tighter lens, maybe 50mm.

By the way. I'm curious. Those of you who do Panos. Do you stitch first and process (contrast, levels, etc.) after? Or do you process the pics then stitch them up?

I process first, mostly because I go to Lightroom before anything else.

Some from the Signal Hill meet. Was great meeting up with you guys. Wed. shoot and dinner at HB sounds fun!

Well all I got today was a bunch of doggy and guest snaps from our dog's 4th birthday party at one of the wineries(any excuse to get together and drink). I regret leaving my camera in the car afterwards when we headed down to old town for dinner then some bars/clubs.
