Just got back from Bolsa Chica Reservation... First time there... Definitely won't be my last... Hehhehe... Lots of bird activity (pelicans, seagulls, herons, etc.)... Looks like I had alot of keepers, too... Anyhoo... Pat, I can't make it tonight @ Hilltop Park... Have fun, though, with the fellas... I'm sure it's going to be OUTSTANDING!!!

Hi Airbutchie, this is typically the slowest part of the season now. I shoot and work out there on the reserve about 2-3 times a month. Jan - March really starts picking up with some visitors that migrate and make their pit stops.
There is quite a bit of raptor activity (Red Tail Hawks, Osprey, Cooper Hawks and Kestrels) right now if you take a hike further in down by the "pocket". Just not sure you want to lug that beast of yours all that way.... 
I am friends with the director of the land trust which cares for the area, so I hear of the hot tips from time to time of something unusual. Once in a while I am granted access in the areas that is not open to the public.
