Extreme heavy crop of 300 + 2x III(combo tends to back focuses when focus distance is toward infinity), pretty crappy looking but better than I'd expected with all things considered.

That EOS-M is rockin'! I read some reviews and heard it was slow for any kind of subject matter that is moving because of the slow auto focus?

It used to be, but they upgraded the firmware over the summer and the slow focus issues were improved.

It gets the job done, and is a great walk around rig for less "professional" days. :)

What are you planning to use it for? Photoshop elements covers a lot.

I downloaded the Elements trial version the other day to do my panorama merges.
I'd like to do more of that and possibly try my hand at HDR down the road.

I use LR4 as my main photo processing tool. I did not care too much for Elements, so far. It seems more clunky and less intuitive than Lightroom. Just curious what people use, and how they feel about the subscription model Adobe is now pushing.

Will Elements do a good pseudo-HDR? (More like, combining multiple exposures)

I quit smoking about 4 months ago so I can easily afford the $9.99/mo for both CC and LR5. I've read others concerned that if you stop paying, the programs stop working. That's not a problem for me since I still have CS6 installed as well. I edit using layers and masks most of the time so I prefer CC with ACR and Bridge over LR. There are plenty of new features in CC to make the upgrade worthwhile to me.

LOL. Well I guess I need to quit smoking!!!

All joking aside, I get what you're saying. I don't however, own CS6. I do have LR4 and that's it. So I do worry about the "what happens when/if you stop paying". I am not a big fan of this subscription model. And for any other software, I'd happily fork over $100 or so to own a full copy of something.
But CS6 is quite a bit more expensive to own. And newer versions are not even available going forward except through the cloud. So it's kind of a tricky proposition for me, valuewise.

All that aside, from a technical standpoint. Those of you who use Elements. Do you find it's sufficient for panorama stitching, Brenizer stitiching, and pseudo-HDR (multiple exposure blending)? I think that's essentially the only uses I have at the moment, that LR cannot cover.

I also have a 6D on the way (should be here this week), and I believe that will do some multi-exposure blending / HDR in-camera?

I did like Elements BUT I already had a copy of CS6 so didn't use it too much.

As far as in-camera HDR... Not very good. Tried it out but was never happy with the results.
