Nice! Is that Hollywood Hills? You have a lot of great shots in your Flickr

Thank you. :)
Took these near nike tower. I wanted to go to the top of the tower but they had the fire gate closed so I couldn't drive there and I wasn't gonna hike to it with my gear. :D

Didn't think I was gonna get any good shots with the 70-300L, but pleasantly surprised. Nothing like the 400 and 500mm shots here but not bad? This is only slightly cropped to get rid of a few people in the water. Still need to get a TC though.

Glad to hear things are getting back to normal for you Butch. Bad things do seem to happen in bunches don't they. Best wishes for your wife.

Here are a couple more shots from the March Field Museum. The SR-71 used to be outside and was in the movie "Space Cowboys". This is the two seater trainer version.

Nice BIF, Pat!

Funny how much crisper your shots with the 400, and PixelPusher and his 500 look compared to Owen's and mine.

A few more from yesterday. All of these are pretty heavily cropped.

Looks like you picked the right spot, Charlie.
I usually shoot exactly that bridge, and then there's the Queen Mary that you can get a shot at from the boardwalk area.
Some people shoot back towards the city, for a skyline type shot. Never tried that myself.

I'de like to try to get closer to the bridge next time. I really should have went earlier, the sunset looked really nice.

Wow. I really like that last one. The colors in the water are great.
Where'd you shoot that from? I haven't been able to find a spot with a good view of the skyline, from the area I was at (that'd be the shoreline drive area, by the restaurants).

it's from that park across the way, same side as the queen mary.

I tried a 30 second exposure, and that looked fine. then I tried a 5 min exposure, and liked the glassy water look better. The lights looked more like a mirror, so I stuck with it.
