Well, I should let you know that it's not all THAT great... I could be wrong but I think it should be better and greener in spring or summer. My purpose of this visit was to determine whether I can have an outdoor family session here. My thoughts are split at this moment. Since it's literally 5 minutes away from my house, I'm planning to check out again in Spring.

Its better than the El Dorado nature center has been. Its been mostly flat colored and sort of boring. Spring should help that though.

We should be fine .

Here's what their website says:

Permits are required for private parties, picnics, meetings or posed photography.

There are many places to take beautiful pictures; however you must stay on the paths and lawns and cannot enter the cultivated beds or planted areas.

We're not Posers .

Are you sure? I don't remember seeing any permit requirements on their website. I know you need permits to take photos at Oak Canyon Nature Center, but don't think it's necessary here.. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. I did give some donation though.

Group photos are limited to 10 people per group. For a permit, contact our reception desk at (657-278-3407).

LOL! $100 for 90 minutes? They must be smoking some good crack over there! I wonder how many people go for that. I'm guessing mostly weddings.

Gene, I noticed that there are no people in any of your shots. Is it not visited much or do you have a special pass or something? I know you have a military background, just wondering.

Surfline is showing 10 ft. + on Friday. Might have to take the morning off to check it. Was thinking of tomorrow, but with the possibility of building to that size I think I will wait until then.
