I use Cerritos library all the time too. Great spot and all the other photogs I've run into are very courteous.

Nice shot Patrick!

Surfline is showing 10 ft. + on Friday. Might have to take the morning off to check it. Was thinking of tomorrow, but with the possibility of building to that size I think I will wait until then.

BTW, who is that dork with the camo lens? ;)

^^ Hehehe...it looks like it but then again we tend to subtract what "SURFLIES" I mean surfline forecast to get an accurate read. Wish I was down there along with the fellas instead here in my office as I've been told it's been firing on both sides. ^^

Jackie's forecast til Wednesday noon...

Thanks, I'm having a lot of fun using the camera too.

Thanks Eric. A few years ago, I pinched my sciatic nerve and ever since then, I can't walk very far at a time or even stand still for long without experiencing pain or numbness. The "Planes of Fame" museum seems to be much more spread out than March Field and is why I've avoided it to this point. That's also why I usually don't go to air shows is the distance from parking areas to the event itself. While doable, it certainly takes the fun out of it for me.

Get an epidural about a week before the show, that will give temporary relief. Need to consider surgery on that Gene, these days that is a simple procedure and you will be good as new. Don't wait to long, far too many things you will miss out on.

I never really hear or see what Jackie Johnson is reporting when watching TV.....now I finally see it :)

If the day goes as planned here at work I am trying to get down there for the sunset surf action as it was off the hook Sunday.

I'm not sure if I posted these here, but I thoroughly enjoyed shooting at Cerritos Library. If you need to do an outdoor session, I highly recommend this place. I ran into 2 other photogs within about 2 hours.

nice shots joonrhee. Were these done with direct flash or did you bring a strobe setup?

Thank you Charlie. Most of them were shot using OCF Cheetah Qbox (Most of them were at full power using 600EX speedlite). I actually brought 2 x 600EX, but I was barely able to fight the harsh sunlight with just one.

I have shot in Cerritos. I got a permit, after I was done they gave me my money back. They checked to make sure I did not destroy anything and I was good to go :D

I probably didnt need one but it was nice to have just in case.

Whittier is also and they were pretty lenient for stills. It probably helped it was something for the biggest employer in the city haha

going to be doing some walking and shooting at the Pike in Long Beach Thursday evening. Meet at around 6:30 and go from there. Plenty of stuff to see and shoot, lights, bridges, traffic, statues, fountains, Queen Mary, etc. Trying to make thursday night a regular thing for the #POTNsocal crew.
