First edited shot with the M - must say I'm pretty pleased with the handling and the images:

The M? What'd you go out and get??? :)

Butch,

Very nice shots. I love the Solvang windmill. Need to get myself up there again. Been a few years.

Owen,

Wow! Good catch on those 2 hawks. I've been trying to shoot the couple of hawks in my neighborhood, but they are too unpredictable and never close enough or still enough to shoot like that. You did great there!

All,

So, seems like a good number of people are interested for Sunday. Is it confirmed? What time and where exactly are we meeting? I'd like to join in too. A bit of a drive for me, but I'll make the effort, hehehe.

Thanks Dean,
Got real lucky on that one, I wouldn't have noticed them unless they were fighting over the branch.

I'm still down for Sunday, those who are going should meet up and carpool if possible.

Panos and photo stitching . . .

I know there have been tons of great panos posted here. I want to stitch together some photos of a building and am having trouble getting the frames to stitch together cleanly (lots of intersecting lines and curves). I tried photostitch, Hugin and Autopano with mixed results. I may just need to learn the software better, or I may have just picked a set of shots that will be hard to stitch.

What photo stitching software do you guys use?

I'm shooting Sunday from 5-7(leaving at 430 or possibly earlier). I've got 4 in my group, myself included. Will be wearing a big lowepro backpack, black and green. Hope to see some fellow shooters.

Charlie,

Where are you parking, and where are you starting your walk from?

Owen, I'm down for carpooling if you think that would help, although you and I are not exactly on each other's way.

Anyone else down for Sunday?

Honestly, not sure where to park yet, will have to check Google earth. Worst case scenario, paid parking near 1st street. Better scenario would be street parking at the meters which are off on Sundays. Therere was plenty last time, but it was at 10pm :p

I'll post an address later that's optimal in case anyone interested in shooting Walt Disney concert hall in addition to grand park.

Those are probably the most popular ones, and there Microsoft Ice which I now use instead of Hugin due to speed. I would think with Hugin you could make it work, are you manually setting the "points" or just relying on "auto align"?

Dean, if you came down the 91, we could meet in Torrance or Gardena. If Joe is going I could pick him up along the way, though I don't think the 600mm would fit in my car, LOL.
