I made a post like this last year and it seemed worthwhile doing another one. So come on then, now we're almost at the end of another year, let's have a look at what you consider to be your best shot of 2008. I'll start us off. This was taken in October, at Oceanside Pier, in Oceanside, California where my wife is from, and where we had flown for the second leg of our wedding. ISO 100, 1/13th sec, f/22 @ 10mm

Let's have them then!

Here's my gear: Canon 1100D, 18-55mm kit lens, Canon 50mm 1.8, Sigma 10-20mm, Canon 55-250mm, Speedlite 430EX flashgun

Ahh this year was a great year for me. It's too hard to pick one. Here are two that I really enjoyed taking though.

1. A shot of Kibo the night before we took Uhuru summit from Baranco Camp. Used rocks as a tripod. I think this was a 3 or 5 minute exposure. I don't have the exif readily available. Such an amazing evening. You could see lightning storms on the lower peaks.

2. Coral Cove - Koh Samui, Thailand. The clouds were perfect for a DOF shot that morning.

Ahh so many I want to share, but I've already broken the limit. ;]

Happy New Year everyone, and have a great time taking photos in 2009.

Taken this Fall in Maui, Hawaii. It was a nice break from our dreary Alaskan Fall weather. However, it was cold and windy at the top of Haleakala Volcano. And I had to wake up at 3am, drive across the island, trek up the hill, and get set up in time for the 6:30 sunrise. I loved every minute of it! Happy New Year!

I really like this shot! Did you erase the summary details of this photo? Can you post them up? Did you photoshop it a bit?
