I don't need to scan negatives as the photography club at my university have a Nikon Coolscan 9000 for use. I just want to scan prints. Right now the Canoscan 8800F is $50 cheaper than the Epson V500. I'm leaning on the V500, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $50 over the 8800F.
