Hi guys

It's been a while since my last post, but there wasn't much of skiing on this side of ocean after start of WC in Soelden.

Now it finally started for real also for me, with 6 races in last 10 days, and next 6 or 7 in next 2 weeks (it's too far to think about later ones). But since I have nothing else to do, from Tuesday 2am, when I drove back home from last race, till Saturday morning, when I'm off for next one, so I decided to put few photos here :) Next to that, I hope I will get some skiing myself too, before I hit the road again, even though last Monday wasn't bad at all with night race, and free skiing ticket :) So I managed to get at least 2 hours of skiing on morning before race... including few runs between gates... thanks to some very nice girls and their coaches who let me ski their warmup course :D

Anyway, since probably noone cares about such stories, here are few photos from last few races (Alta Badia and Val Gardena, Italy, and Semmering, Austria) :P

That would be all for now, and later on, when this crazy few weeks will be over, I will be back with some new photos. If you are inpatient, you can always check our web for fresh ones (external link) :)

And as always, feel free to comment. Good, bad, ugly, and any other comments, no matter what and how, everything is acceptable for me, so don't be scared :)

Happy New year to all of you guys!

Take care,
primoz

As usual, great work! Stories are fine as well! Your exposure on faces are great, action fantastic!

These are spectacular as always.
The shot of Sanni Leinonen with the icy trees for bokeh is something else !

Very nice job. Cheers !

Great action shots. Exposure looks really tricky but you've handled it very well.

Great work,
Keep the stories coming, love to hear of people that get to shoot skiing and ski themselves.

Exposure in snow isn't really as tricky as it might look. But then again, shooting skiing for 4 or 5 months a year for quite few years already, might help a bit with this  But seriously... it has some tricks, but it really isn't anything so bad as someone might think. If you know how to get proper exposure without snow, it won't be problem with snow either.

I'm thrilled you took the time to post, I miss seeing your work and this set didn't let me down at all. Wonderful shots. The first and the shot of Sanni are simply magic. Awesome work bud, hope you get some vertical in yourself.

Taking time is not so much of a problem at the moment. I have few days off now, and as there would be some curse over me, I got sick... or at least kinda sick. So instead of going skiing myself, I'm sitting at home, drinking lemon and tea and trying to get better... till tomorrow! And worse thing with all this is, that I would have chance to go skiing with few people, who I normally shoot on World cups. Oh well... there's always next time... I hope :)

That sucks Primoz, although better to layback and get better then try and go out and get real sick. Great set of pictures as always.

Great shots as always. Some of the crops are bit tight for my taste but I still like them all.
Lindsey Vonn has great facial expression. Well captured
