CS3 vs CS4 place command

What the heck has happend to the place command in CS4?

I have a small PNG with transparent background that has the text "(C) 2008 Tommy Jensen" that I put on all my photos. I have in CS3 created an action that use the command place to put that image on my photo.

When I got CS4 I saved the action from CS3 and imported it in CS4 and it still worked fine.

Now that the year has changed I have changed the PNG to "(C) 2009 Tommy Jensen", but now when I use the place command the image is blown up in superoversize instead of keeping the size I saved it in. If I open the image with CS4 and copy/paste it instead then the size is correct.

How do I correct this stupid blowing up behavior of the place command ?

I attached the 2 png files. Maybe its not the place command but the save for web that does something but I can't figure what the difference between the 2 png's are (beside the size difference)

One is at 300 dpi (299,999 actually), the other at 72...

Hmm I thougth I checked that and it is strange that has changed because I have made both from the same PSD file. I only edited the text and then saved for web when I made the new one.

Just gave it a try, and it seems "Save for web" now automatically makes the image 72dpi...
