It so nice to see so many paintball photographers on this forum posting pictures, hopefully we can all learn from each other in a cooperative non competitive environment.. I thought I would post some pictures from a different type of paintball event. This was the Wayne Dollack Grand Finale scenario game, a 24 non stop scenario game in the woods just south of Ocala in central Florida.
This type of paintball is more difficult to photograph than tournaments were the action is very repetitive and predictable. In scenario events there are no sidelines to stand on and as a result since you are in the action and get hit much more often and the game goes on nonstop for 24 hours. These events take place on fields that are several square miles and frequently have hundreds to thousands of players so you really never know what is going to happen. This unpredictable nature of these events makes them much more challenging to photograph.
I encourage all the new up and coming paintball photographers to shoot a scenario event
Here are some images from the in Ocala Florida December 2008.
