Manfrotto 681B + Manfrotto 486RC2...

I used to think monopods were useless... Then we put a ballhead on it, and I fell in love haha.

Two weeks into January, I bought a 70-200mm f/2.8L USM. The same day, I bought a battery grip for my 400D. The lens came from the courier the next morning and we went and picked up the battery grip later that day. Couldn't be happier.

Not sure what my next purchase will be. I don't think I'll upgrade my body since I bought the battery grip, so my next will probably be a short zoom lens. Hopefully another L.

Good question...

I'm thinking of getting a 85 1.8 (or possibly 50mm 1.4), but I would really like another body as well (40D). I don't have any low light lenses, but I know last year there were a few times I wish I had a second body so I wouldn't have to swap lenses constantly.

Well I ended up getting a 85mm a couple weeks ago. Found it locally for a decent price. It put my savings account in the hole! I think now I gotta save up and hopefully be able to afford a used 40D by summer time. In the mean time I'm looking to sell my 550EX (with mini softbox) to my friend once I buy a 580EX from a local seller (the upgrade will only cost me about $50) :)

If everything will be fine, 1dmk4 or 1dmk3n or wathever it will be called. :) If not, then I have no idea what to do. This will be probably followed by 500/4 sometime till next winter, and then I have enough spending for a little while :)

I have to replace one my MKIIN batteries. I dropped it and cracked the plastic housing.

Gaffers tape make miracles ;) My batteries are more or less all cracked too, but a bit of tape and they hold just fine... for few years already ;)

First photography 'related' purchase was a WD 640gig 3.5" external HDD mostly dedicated to photography storage and or backup.

I'm trying hard to save 70% of my monthly allowance of S$250 (US$160) for the next 11 months to be able to afford a 1DmkII / IIN and a dedicated photography editing / showcase laptop, with topup from my dad. So no camera related purchase till the 1DmkII for me (for the whole year!).
