I have a couple zooms that really don't ever leave the house. I shoot 99% of everything using primes. Personally, making the switch from zooms to primes has probably done more to improve my photography than any other decision I've made.

Wow, I can't believe it took me this long to find this thread. I am also a primeaholic. I have a 24-70 still but find myself foot-zooming for a long time before I realize I can zoom again.

It takes a certain personality and knowledge to work with primes only but there is no going back now.

My zooms still play a big part in my shooting style......I pop three of them in the bag and then hang it on the tripod hook.... makes for much improved stability when using the longer primes.

WOW so many new members of PLA! I want Scott's 85L

I am about to pull the trigger on an 85L and a 24L (I had a hard time figuring out if I wanted 24L or 35L) to go with my 5D II.

I have been out of photography for awhile and previously I used mostly zooms (24-70 L and 70-200 2.8 IS) so it should be fun to try something new.
