I am about to pull the trigger on an 85L and a 24L (I had a hard time figuring out if I wanted 24L or 35L) to go with my 5D II.

I have been out of photography for awhile and previously I used mostly zooms (24-70 L and 70-200 2.8 IS) so it should be fun to try something new. :)

CONGRATS and you wont regret either.

I've got the lenses in my signature, and I really need to fill the medium telephoto gap. WWPLAD? 100/2, 100/macro or 70-200/2.8?

Just sold my LOVED 70-200 for a 50 1.4 and a 85 1.8. The prime NEED/WANT for a prime hit me hard.

With the rest of the money from the 7-2 I'm buying a R3A with a 40 1.4, which is a really sweet lens and focal length.

I would go with the 100/2 or 135L.

Just thought people would like to know...Im trying to sell my 100 2.0, as well as my 28 1.8, in the marketplace.

I'm selling in order to purchase a 200 2.8L! If you want to help my cause by buying me lenses, then by all means... Haha.

I caved and picked up my first prime last week - Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DG. It adds an entirely new perspective and forces one to focus on fundamentals.
I'm already looking into picking up the Canon EF 85 f/1.8 and possibly the Sigma 50 f/1.4 EX DG as well!

Your prime set up looks almost like mine, except I went with the Canon 50. I just heard to many storys from the sigma front focusing. Then a few weeks later I bought my Sigma 30 and the focus is spot. Then just last nite, I ordered the Canon 85 w/ hood for outdoor use. Should be here in a day or 2.

Nice, Peter!

My 5D's newest friend  - $80, and up there with my 85L and 135L in terms of performance:

Locally, and I have two more coming in this evening, again at a great price - one is my fourth 50mm prime  and the other, more noticeably, is the very high quality, very sharp from corner to corner Olympus Zuiko OM 28mm f3.5.
