First of all, I was joking. My family is not in crisis. Photography makes us more than enough money to pay for my addiction. HAHA
And I do have Hasselblad, and yes, ouch!

Yeppers, I came from shooting a Mamiya RZ67 as well so the Canon lenses are a steal for the most part.

Hi, my name is Persio and I bought a prime. Ok, it is not a Canon, it's a sigma 30mm 1.4, and the worst part is that I did not receive it yet. Looking forward for some L's in the future, but first I need to finish paying my house.

hello, my name is david and i'm a prime lover. in fact, in my 2 years of dslr ownership, i've only owned 1 lens and it's a Sigma 30mm 1.4. I guess you can say i fell in love with it and liked it so much that i never looked for anything else. i borrowed my roommates 17-55mm f2.8 zoom for a daytrip over the weekend, and although it was fun to use, i eventually realized that i'm just a prime lover and couldnt wait to put the 30mm back on my camera once i got home

It is so true from my perspective too, After I started using primes no turning back. I had built up considerable amout of zoom lenses, I am in the process of refining my lens line up after acquiring several primes...

My name is Tristan, and I shoot Nikon.

I mean... My name is Tristan, and I love primes. I own one zoom, but it hurts to use. The shots also come out sh*t. My other two lenses are primes, and feel so much more at home when attached to my camera. I hope to pick up a 35mm f/1.8 AF-S soon, and a 105 f/2.8 macro as well, and replace my current 50mm f/1.8 with the new 50mm f/1.4G.

There. I feel much better now. :p

I can't say I always shoot with primes, as I do prefer my 70-200 to primes for that range (and the same for the UWA range.) Everything else, though, I'm a prime fan. My 35L and 85L spend well over half the time on my camera combined.

Anyone here using wide angle primes only?

I don't like Canon's wide zooms, 17-40, 16-35I/II. But it seems like you can't afford using primes only when it comes to wide angle. If I use a prime and try to "zoom" by walking around, I may have to walk for a few kms??

Viet here, aka Optimus Prime (given by friends), cause I only shoot primes.. I currently have the 50 1.4, 85 1.8, and want the 135L ASAP. I will move into the 35L, 85L, and keep the 135L by next year. I love primes but it is VERY expensive.
