Although next weekend I'll hopefully be going landscape shooting to try it out Apparently I've been dubbed Foxy.

I'm under house arrest thanks to my doctor who I see on Monday. I really want to put that to some use for something serious.

I've had some ongoing conditions I've been more or less able to cope with but something new has popped up recently, it's called pulsatile tinnitus and it is also causing me to be dizzy which is not good when you've got photo gear in your hands. They have run a bunch of tests and I go back Monday hopefully for some answers and what to do about it. In the meantime I catch what I can out of my windows and have been using my kitties as my loyal lens test subjects.

This makes me a little nervous, but I could use the money to close on a house. Anybody regret getting rid of their standard zoom and having 35mm be their widest lens? -Mark-

Just doesnt' do anything for me, even though it's a really nice lens. I will miss the IS which is divine. I'm a wide angle hoor but right now 35mm is indeed my widest. I will add a 17-40mm or 14mm samyang shortly.

I sold my 450D with the kit lens to fund for a 40D and start my prime collection. Well, I recently got into shooting at a local club and found myself having to borrow a kit lens because the 35mm wasn't wide enough when it came to group shots. Do I regret losing the kit lens, sure, but it just gave me a reason to get the 17-55 2.8 which should be here next week. | BJ |
