Today, without much though, I decided to go down to the local river and jump in.

I hear of these events all over the place where the water doesn't even freeze over. How is that a polar plunge? :P They have to constantly skim the slush off the top because it starts freezing back over right away.
You have to go about 25 feet across to get out the other side. It was 12 degrees with a windchill of about 2 above. Lightly snowing.
At least I can feel my toes again(I jumped in socks).
