Thank you both I do have some more on the way and yes the crow was watching for any chance to get something and he did move in for some scraps when this was done.

Crows seem to be tolerated when the eagles are feeding. I have seen them get close and extend out to snatch some scraps, well within snapping distance of an irate eagle. ;)

Great series of shots. I was watching similar species in Japan this afternoon but couldn't get any action shots like these. Good job!

Great set!!

Question for you. Maybe my inexperience of birds but if they were hungry and fighting for one fish why wouldn't the turn on the crow?

These are juvie birds, it's not about the meat, it's about pecking order and crows don't count. ;)

Up where Mike is, there are plenty of salmon to go around, and there were probably other fish within reach. They were just squabbling over this one. Down here, I have seen adults catch fish and give it to the juvies who aren't as lucky fishing yet. They all seem to share most of the time, and most of these birds are family units and will stay near each other for life, so it's not like they are strangers. Brothers and sisters always squabble. ;)

He did not..... Thank you all for your comments, Mitch has it right most of the time the fights are about pecking order. I love to watch the interaction and getting to know these birds they are amazing.
