First of all, Happy New Year folks. Not too sure if i posted in the wrong category, but thought i would give a short but sweet introduction.

My name is Michael, 25 and live in Sydney, Australia. I have always been into photography ever since high-school days, but university,work and an insecure girlfriend have heavily occupied my life.

My current girlfriend now actually understands my passion, by finally submitting to the D-SLR game and purchasing the "expensive" gear as per my sig.

So hope to gain some great knowledge within this forum and keen to meet others who also share similar interests.. uh Photography!

We don't allow graphics in sigs, that's why. In a photo forum things could easily get out of hand. :{)#

Thanks for making me feel welcome guys, appreciate it.

And I'm fine with the no image rule. Well I hope I have made the riight choice in getting the 50D, as I know the capabilities are way over my head, but all comes in the learning process I guess. I actually exchanged from a 450D simply because it felt too small and didn't have the ultimate build quality like the 50D.

I will be heading to NYC later this year for a small vacation, so hopefully my photographic skills will be much improved by then, of course with some guidance from you lovely folks
