Stonechat?

Was watching a pair of these in some local fields this afternoon & just had to go home and get my camera - pretty sure they're Stonechats.

They kept landing on twiggy plants then hopped down into the long grass then back to the 'perch' again.
Interesting to watch, but they wouldn't let me get too close with the 100 -400.
The 500 would have been ideal but a bit too far from home to carry it.

Lovely shots, that is a female. I found quite a lot when I was in Spain....in fact I found them a lot easier to photograph there!

I hadn't seen any of these for a couple of years so I was a bit taken aback to see them today.

Nice to see these were still about today, so managed to grab a few more pics.
