Does anyone know what bird this is? It looks like something familiar but I can't find it anywhere. The picture was taken in the Sinai area of Egypt

I've never seen one personally, but I believe your bird is a Blackstart.

That definitely looks to be it... I saw it on the way back to my hotel room after snorkeling and took the pic with my powershot still in it's underwater housing!
