Hello,

I'm using LR 2.2. For some reason I have about 200 pictures which have appeared in the "Already in Catalog" folder/catalog.

When I right-click on the "Already in Catalog" folder, I am given the option to "Remove this Temporary Collection".

If I do select "Remove this Temporary Collection", will it delete any files? The reason I ask is because when in the "Already in Catalog" folder, "Show in Explorer" and "Show in Folder Library" point to the original file.

"Remove this Temporary Collection" will apply to all the pictures in the "Already in Catalog" folder/catalog. I would hate to have to deal with trying to retrieve 200 deleted files.

Thanks,
~Dom

Remove the Temporary Collection will only remove the collection from the list, it won't touch the photos.

What's happened is you've tried to import some photos, but there are already exact duplicates in the catalog, in a different location. The temporary collection is just so that you know which ones they are.
