Hi
The BX500Ri only has a modelling lamp of 100w - is it possible to replace this with one of a higher wattage ?
Thanks
Simon

Unfortunately I don't know the specific details but just like the BX and RX strobes that currently exist, you can swap the modeling light out for a more powerful one. Robert

Now to try and find a listing of them before I go and buy the lights Hmm 140? That's an odd wattage. That is the replacement specific to the new BXRi's? Robert

(this problem still plagues the Einstein since it has a 250 watt modeling lamp which 150watts is emitted in the form of heat rather than light.) It probably won't affect the strobe right away, but over time the internals might get damaged/melty. Flickr
