As I live on North Padre Island, only a short drive to Port Aransas, I can vouch for this. Hope you had a good time on the coastal bend of south Texas - there sure are many species to go after down here! Miles

I don't live on South Padre though, North Padre Island (in Corpus Christi) is only 15 miles down the road from Port Aransas. I go up to Rockport/Fulton quite often as well. Seeing the Whooping Cranes by boat is the only way to possibly get a photo of them, and you did well in accomplishing that! Thanks Miles! Maybe we can connect next time I'm down that way.
