I have recently decided to switch from www.davykelly.co.uk (external link)(Davy Kelly Photography) to www.sidelight.org.uk (external link)(Sidelight Photography)

Why not pick a buisness name and go with that?

I combined the first three letters of my wife's name and first three of mine to get sejvik.com. But, I didn't buy the domain to run a photography business. Still, you can come up with something more creative that dsstudio :) You can also get several domains all going to one website. Domains are cheap.

shankardarshan.com (a very meaningful name -- might be useful for Indian clients)
shankarstudio.com
studioshankar.com
darshanshankar.com sounds like a good fit though. It's different enough so that once it's memorized, it will stick.

Get them all.
