iMovie and then iDVD to burn to DVDs.
Very easy to use.
Good control over editing and some special effects as well.
Reasonable control over audio as well.
Only issue is you need to have photos in iPhoto if you want to include them in the movie.

You can drag any photo from a folder and drop it in the window of Imovie! I though same as you but I tried to drag and it works! Give it a try!

I always use iMovie, best for my mac

Does anyone know where I can find a link to some tutorials on getting started with the 5Dmark II for video. I just got this camera and have not one bit of experience shooting video. I tried one yesterday and it was fine and crisp as long as I did not pan, once I moved the camera I lost the focus so I need to find out why and what I should be doing. I have spent the afternoon looking here but I only seem to find PP stuff. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

It's hardly "completely useless". It's perfectly useful for the great majority of people.

Yup, luckily (or unluckily) I'm not in the majority. It's utter crap as it stands for anyone who wants to do anything other than imovie style editing work. Even their multiclip work-around is crap. I'm disgusted with Apple.

Final Cut Pro

I am using Song Vegas Pro 10 right now. I like it very much.

I've refrained from mentioning Avid Media Composer because of the price.

However, you could get a good deal if you're a student (or there's an offer for disgruntled FCP users).

The original and best!
