hello to all.

i hope some of you can help.
i have deside to give making a observatory another try but this time not roll off roof as before.
i did.nt have the right track and the roof was so heavy that i gave up after about the 3rd time with it
and have teken it down :cry:.

so ive been without the scope for about a year until i desided to go back out on the patio in december 07.

i have dug the hole and put in a 6ft long telegraph pole as this was cheap £10.00.

ive the sprayed on the ground a 2mtr circle. thats as far as ive got until next week end.

please post some images if you have made a dome so i can get some inspuration.

Barry (Baz) here is a member and has built his own dome and did a fantastic job heres the link to Baz Website (external link) and in the left side is a link to building the observatory . I'm sure he will be in soon and will probably comment with help to you .

On a side note, I have a 8" six foot steel pipe covered under a tarp for over a year + some plans wrote down on paper... thats about as far as I got, though I am sure the black widow spiders and other bugs enjoy the steel pipe that I hope to cut down and turn into a pier one of these days. My hands are a bit tied up until I get my rig in working over, but that will not happen until my hours go back up at work and with the way the economy is right now, I am starting to question that.
