I was thinking of purchasing the Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch for my 40D.

Is this remote switch ok to use with the 40D, and 5DMK2 which I aim to get in the next few months?
Thanks

It won't work with either the 40d or the 5DmkII. It is for the Rebel series. This is what you need if you want to spend the money on the Canon version.

You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.

I have a timer release very much like this one on eBay (external link) . It comes in very handy for SP's where I want to take multiple shots without having to pop back to the camera and set the timer.

Less than $5 and works perfectly:

Dealextreme is in Hong Kong so it takes 1-2wks usually for things to show up, but they are a great reliable store that many of us have bought from.
