A few from over the last couple of days in the garden. I managed at last to capture the Bullfinch who has been avoiding me for the last few weeks. He will fly down to the feeders, but if he catches a glimpse of something not as it should be, he will do a quick bank to the right switch on the afterburner and he is gone in a flash. Any C&C welcome, thanks for looking.

Nice series, the Bullfinch and Wren are very good, not sure about the Jay as the flash looks out of sync, its highlighted parts but not others, might be worth having a go at in software.

Thanks guys, or though you are right about the flash aligater. I was using a 300mm F4L at the time. Now when I have had to use the 580ex due to bad light it does not show up on the displlay of the flash as 300mm. am I right in thinking that the flash is not covered as such with this lens? What adjustments should I be making if any, to compensate for this? Thanks

Try the flash in `High Speed Sync` mode and set the exp on the flash to - 1 2/3rds as a starting point, then adjust as necessary.Speed has to be at 320ths minimum if i remember correctly.

Thanks aligater, that give me at least something to experiment with, obviously flash does work with this lens but I wanted more control over it.
