Here are a few from just after xmas at my local Grimley raceway.
Sparse grids and crowd, but chilly and off season,so expected.

Winter Hotrods,

#2 is a great capture Chris and I also like #4, the intensity in the driver's face says it all!

Thanks Jamie.

Rhodri,
Happy new year !
Yep was pleased to get out with the camera, was getting a bit stir crazy over xmas,so was nice to blow off the cobwebs.

2 was a shot that had a bit of angst as we had lost Steve Misters only the week before and this was his car,a collection was made towards the local Air Ambulance.

4 ,was one of those shots you do in between races that you always wish you do more of,but often are too busy moving location and setting camera up.

Am coming down to Red Dragon ,you going ?

Happy new year to you aswell mate! I've been feeling the same, haven't managed to get out since Rally GB so looking forward to the next one.

Do you mean the Red Kite on the 18th? I'll definitely be out for that one, although whether or not I'll actually have a camera is another thing (don't ask!)

Those are interesting shots that really capture the action.I just love the short oval racing where you see all the cars.

All the image seem a little flat to me mate, I reckon a small contract boost would make them pop.

Cracking capture with No.2 ... looks like he's about to pass the point of no return!

Cheers

Cheers Cryton,
It gets much better with fuller grids, but it's always entertaining whatever the cars.

Hi Jay,
No 2 was part of a sequence ,and he did pass the point of no return:confused:

Will check out contrast issues,as 3 and 8 seem worse than the others, but rest look ok on my monitor, with 4 a bit noisy as light was starting to go.

Appreciate the comments,as ever,thanks.

Hi Tehdrok,
Well I have just had a look through some files and am not sure ,there were two other 2 door whale tails, but they could be old sierras with welded and filled doors.
I cannot imagine anyone would waste a cosworth doing this .Will ask next time.

I would hope not! But, that said, quite a few three doors have gone the way of Old Yeller, so it's not outside the realms of possibility, I suppose.. Definitely looks like a mk.1 Sierra, though, and it's got the Cossie front grille, too :D
