Well those are amazing!
I love the last one the most...
If I had to nitpic...I would only be able to come up with your sig on the 1st shot. It is too big and cuts too close to the drama of the shot

It's nice to know that my ineptitude in the darkroom transfers over to the digital world...

Spectacular images TS

What ISO were you using on these?

Where you holding the shutter open manually as well or using a remote?

Thanks for the comments everyone, I'm pretty happy with them, just a case of being in the right place at the right time when the storm is mature and spitting out dangerous 'positive' lightning where instead of coming from cloud to ground out the base of the cloud, it basically 'spits' out the side from much higher up with more amperage. Very powerful and has a long range, but makes for killer pics!

I always shoot close lightning on ISO100 (lowest my cam goes) and always have a remote to avoid any camera shake.

Thanks everyone!! Certainly hasn't been any good lightning since then to take pics of. Just a case of right place at the right time. Taking pics of bolts aint that hard, just getting the bolt looking good is the hard part....exposure etc and focus given that it was pretty much pitch black out there when I was taking the pics so no light to focus on or anything like that.

I love storms - rain, lightning or snow. Took my first lightning shots last summer but they certainly don't compare to these. Awesome work!

Great shots. I can see some cromatic abberation in the bolts that could be taken care of pretty easily, but otherwise great work!
