I am looking for a plate for the tripod ring of the 70-200 2.8 IS. This will be used to mount to an Arca-Swiss B1 ball head. What are some good plates? The Arca plate has crappy reviews about it having a tendency of coming loose.

Name is Peter and here is my gear:
Canon 5D II, Canon 7D, Canon 40D
Glass - Zeiss 21 f/2.8 ZE, Canon 35 f/1.4L, Canon 40 f/2.8 STM, Canon 24-70 f/2.8
L, Canon 85 f/1.2L II, Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II, Canon 500 f/4L IS
Speedlite 580ex II, 430ex - Gitzo GT-3541XLS w/ Arca B1

Well, not really. It is for a lens. But a mod can definitely move it to accessories.

I cant really advise anything positive, but can say that I don't recommend what I have. The Manfrotto 488RC2 head with Manfrotto MN200PL-14 Rectangular Plate 1/4 inch... why? Because with my 5D and grip, once the plate is on the tripod collar it wont fit on the head. The quick release lever on the head hits the grip on the 5D.

Try turning the QR plate 90degrees so that its shorter side faces you. See if that works.

Looks like the correct kirk plate is the LP-41. Also looks like the RRS-L84 will do the trick
