Ice Hockey - Top Shelf

Our local high school team traveled almost 400 miles to play hockey this past weekend. Our goalie isn't happy that I got this shot.

This has the look that direct flash was used, although I see form your exif it wasn't. Even at iso 3200, it looks like a bright pad. Cheers

Nope - just the rink lights that are 1950's sodium vapor lamps at about 2750K. My white balance ice shot is the color of ice tea I shot them all in manual and it was a bit brighter at this end of the rink.

Excellent timing! You could not ask for a better shot depicting a players goal. I'm sure the shooter will love it and the goaltender won't want to see it. Nice job.
