i need a carbon tripod for my 1D III

Does that Load Capacity 8kg and 5kg really matters?

What lens do you plan to use?
For the 100-400 in your sig, the traveller is okay for occasional use (as far as I've seen in the review; see the tripod sticky), but if you use that often, you really want a more stable rig. Series 2 or 3.

It's not about load capacity, it's about stability.

Low weight, Low vibration, low price. Pick two.

Be in safe side and try to get a tripod that can handle heavy load of body+lens

go to Gitzo's website and read the recommended and max focal length specs. I think these a much more useful than the (useless) load ratings.

Both of those are really too light for a 400mm lens.
