Chroma Key Backdrop - Software?

I just bought a chroma key backdrop and want to purchase backdrop software for it. Can anyone make any recommendations?

The primary purpose for this would be for dog/pet photography.

Any compositing app will do, as well as mainly still apps like Photoshop.

You can key out the green/blue/red (if it's lit well enough) and create your alpha matte that way.
