Wow. very good picture! I like the way you captured her in the closeup. The left side of her face is a little bit over highlighted.

Agree. Her nose is very big.... Taken with a wide angle lens from nearby?

That's her nose as it is in real life... It's quite big.

It's a good thing she doesn't know this forum haha

It's my least used lens, but i like it as a walkaround. Nice range on a 5D.
When i was still using a 40D, i liked the 17-55 better because of the f2.8 and 24mm wasn't wide enough for me on a 1.6 cropcam.
It's a matter of personal preference and needs... it's a nice lens

I note that you used a focal length of 35mm.
You might try a longer focal length (100mm or better)

Like i said, the face is not distorted. That IS her nose as it is. I'm serious.
I understand some people may think this is distortion, but you are actually insulting the girl.
This wasn't the intention so please no more comments on the nose please.

Thanks :)

Sorry, but to me it's just another short DOF close-up.

Too easily done, and too often seen.

The left side is also a little hot.

Please don't take this offensively, but it's simply too easily done with the proper lens.

I really like this photo there is something very engaging about it I think the very shallow DOF pair with the sharp focus on the eyes really grabs you attention and while it could be shot with a longer lens to a different affect I like the bit of barrel distortion it really gives you the feeling of being that close. I do think it is a little hot or the left side but other than that great shot.
