I can honestly say that there will be NO more pets in this house. One dog has done what 3 cats could not...and that is exhaust me...make the house dirty (no matter what I do) and generally keep things in a state of chaos.

Substitute dog for boy... and you have the story of my life

I do love him dearly, but he has turned our world upside-down and requires so much energy to keep up with.

beautiful! I can't imagine someone living there though...(cold and dampness of it all) but what a gorgeous place to look at

It is beautiful, that is for sure, I wouldn't want to live right by the coast here....the North Sea is never warm!!

I do still have a 62" mitsubishi. My other next investment will be a better DVD, if not BlueRay for movies.

Yeah, I am seeming to save my money up for a better lens rather than a new tv or a blu-ray player....

Jamie Holladay wrote in post #7067265 (external link)
No worries. I will tell you this though, if Dave does not fire his wife, I am going to have to look for something else.

So I take it the bar is not open yet? :( Of course I would not object to sharing someones flask. I don't have cuddies.

Ouch, Jamie. Sorry to hear about the dire situation. And a very tough one too...

Jamie Holladay wrote in post #7067331 (external link)
It is. She dresses him down in front of Roger and I (I almost can live with that), and she does it in front of the salespeople and service techs. That is just wrong on so many levels. She has no clue about the car business. Questions everything that we do, like we don't know what we are doing. It is driving me insane. I had to hide all the razor blades, disable mapquest, hide the keys to cars with nav and called Chief Reagan and had him put road blocks up for the river bridge. In case you don't follow that, Dave is in a state of mind that all avenues to cause himself harm need to be remove (metaphorically speaking of course).

That is just totally, and utterly wrong of her. I cannot believe the man allows her to do it...either the dog house at work, or he'll really be in the dog house at home. Rule #1 never mix business and pleasure, esp by hiring family members.

Poor dave....sounds like he needs a drink more than you.

Sounds like you both need a drink!

That is not a cool cannon, this is a cool canon cannon ;-)a

You're just showing off, besides, the cannon I took a picture of, seems to be older and more weathered...you have an ACME Wilie E. Coyote one with a giant cork in the end of it...

eddarr wrote in post #7067374 (external link)
Sounds rough. The car business is definitely a different one. So much of the dynamics of a dealership have to do with machismo and good old boyness that Dave cannot be having fun.

Your cannon had a cork in it. But at least it has a hottie behind it.

^ ^ +1

That is the part she does not understand. Accounting is different. It is just different.

And the part she will never understand by the looks of it...

GAH! GAH! I just found Kona on the dining table!! GAH!

Kona is growing big, and fast too! how big is he?

sevillafox wrote in post #7067422 (external link)
Just like living with a toddler.

you kids climb tables and sit on top of them too?

Permagrin wrote in post #7067460 (external link)
nothing...he just got up there...I thought he was quietly eating in the kitchen until he started barking (he couldn't get down)

He needs a kiddie's playset with a slide on it....so he can climb up it, and slide back down. it'll save him going on your tables :)

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #7067522 (external link)
Did he at least use a napkin and utensils to eat with then? ;)

Did he wash his paws before dinner too?

It hasn't lasted long, but Christopher has definitely tried. He'll also remove food from your plate, and eat any scraps left on the floor. The difference is he's human, so we have to chase him down and dislodge said scraps from his tightly clenched jaw.

It puzzles me that I can see myself having more patience for my dogs than I will with my kid.

<Interrupts for a Mommy Moment>

Cory sent me a text, letting me know that they are on their way. I replied with the usual, 'be safe, have fun, and if you can't tell the difference call me'.
His reply:
'I will mom and I can't thank anybody but you and dad, I love life! wouldn't be here without you :D you guys are the best'

Yeah my vision blurred a bit :o
