Thanks Terri. These last few months have been so strange for me; we have had 2 very close friends pass away at young ages and rather quickly. One very unexpectedly. The very thing my father never wanted to happen is his daily nightmare; hanging on, being dependent upon my mother for everything, losing his mind. He so would have preferred to be done with it all about a year or so ago as he regularly discussed it then, when he was able to understand what was happening.

At least I spared him the links with pictures. I actually have a picture of the dish...pre-cooked...in my classroom. The kids get a kick/the willies out of it.

He is slowly spending more time in his own world than in ours, it isn't much fun to experience. I feel bad for my mom as she won't have anyone in to help her and he is becoming a handful. His general health is good, however so we are thankful for that.

You are on the bus when you suddenly realize ... you need to fart. The music is really loud, so you time your farts with the beat. After a couple of songs, you start to feel better as you approach your stop. As you are leaving the bus, people are really staring you down, and that's when you realize, you have been listening to your ipod.

That must make it particularly hard for you and your family.

My Grandmother is in the same situation and my Aunt is taking care of her.

Diane, why are you giving up wine?

Why would ANYONE do that?

Hey, if there's Valium in exchange...why not?!?! ;)

:( I'm so sorry, and sadly understand. My grandmother has become the quintessential "old lady" that she never wanted to be.

G'morning everyone.

It's the weirdest thing. Kona seems to behave worse when it's quiet in the house. If I have the tv off (the way I like it) he's crazy. If the tv is on, he's toned down. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have cable shut off in two weeks.

Crissa I'm sorry (sorry I forgot to respond too...long night). This has got to be horribly hard.

Why are you having your cable turned off?
And Pandora would take the place of the TV noise quite nicely. :D

Wrong. Just WRONG.

You should be more specific about what part of that is wrong. Ick, Dragon and Cat are not so wrong. Cuy...mostly wrong.

Making the jump to get rid of the brain sucker. Is your internet over cable, you don't want to lose that fast connection.

football is over. I only watch tv during football season. And then, only football. Dan doesn't really watch anything at all. (we're not really tv people at all though we do like movies, not with commercials) I'm surprised he hasn't gone nuts during the season...since Kona got here, if a game isn't on the nfl network is.
