He is slowly spending more time in his own world than in ours, it isn't much fun to experience. I feel bad for my mom as she won't have anyone in to help her and he is becoming a handful. His general health is good, however so we are thankful for that.

Sorry to hear about your dad and his condition. It sounds a lot like my parents, though I'm sure similar cases exist everywhere. Your mom probably could use a break. It may be bad to say, but since my dad passed away, my mom's mental well being has slowly continued to improve. Though I know she misses Dad lots, you can sure tell that her disposition has improved immensely.

You are on the bus when you suddenly realize ... you need to fart. The music is really loud, so you time your farts with the beat. After a couple of songs, you start to feel better as you approach your stop. As you are leaving the bus, people are really staring you down, and that's when you realize, you have been listening to your ipod.

 You are BAD!!!
I like that. :p

It's the weirdest thing. Kona seems to behave worse when it's quiet in the house. If I have the tv off (the way I like it) he's crazy. If the tv is on, he's toned down. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have cable shut off in two weeks.

Lisa, I know others have commented, but you know me, I always have an opinion. :D
There is no doubt Kona needs a ton more exercise. Could you not take him out somewhere every day where no others dogs are, a farmers field or the like, and let him run around like crazy. He really needs to get his ya-yas out. :D I know Jasper would drive us bonkers if he did not get at least a couple hours of hard exercise every day. Just being in the yard does not count either.

Seeing I have never heard of keeping a pup quaranteened, I asked a few friends about it, and can't find one person who has heard of it. Most dogs I know were out with the rest of them at an early age.

dsl here too, but I have friends with dial up as their only option, so dsl seems pretty good.

My oldest daughter and a good friend are on dial-up. I would go crazy, there are so many pages they can't view because they take too long to load. At least they can do email fine.

I'm SO excited...UPS just delivered my first storyboard!! I'll take pics in a bit! Gonna drill small holes thru the ends and hang with ribbon (had it mounted on styrene).

 What is a storyboard? :o

I tried fetching. He's not interested and I'm not interested in chasing him down to get the ball each time.

He may need to be trained to fetch, it is quite easy. Every dog I have had until Jasper loved to fetch. A good friend of Jasper's, Rose, is a Springer and just loves fetching.

eddarr wrote in post #7110338 (external link)
I would suggest to wait until the first dog is mostly trained before bring in the second. The first dog will help to teach and train the second dog and it makes your life much easier. But sometimes the second dog just comes along when you least expect it.

I could not agree more. I shudder at the thought that we were considering 2 pups at the same time. It would be more than twice the work as they need to be feed, trained and played with one-on-one separately for the first many months. We are still considering getting another dog, but we will wait until Jasper is at least a year old, unless we get an older dog.

Aww....he needs to release some energy.

Since you can't take him for walks yet, you need one of these

You can use a regular treadmill, I know people who do that.

gmae folks .
Andys off today so I've been out and about ..
We painted the bathroom ..I hate it so we went to get more paint ..lol
Thinks to self its all Andys fault for rushing me on the color pick ..lol

On a sad note Andys brothers father in law died yesterday ..what makes this sad is the family is so f...up they make me crazy ..
Anyways I"m glad Andys a good egg .

Poor Andy, getting all the blame. He is such a nice guy for dealing with your changing your mind. I know, it is a woman's prerogative.

Sorrty to hear of Andy's brothers FIL passing.

Zane might disagree with me here, but an effective tool for us when training emily was to put a few pennies in a soda can and shake it when she did something VERY unacceptable, It scared her and she stopped right away.

I know folks who did that, but a good firm voice is better, and it is always there when you need it. ;)

Why is the photographer more excited about the booze than the camera?

You are wondering why the boozer is less interested in the camera? :p

If you must dilute the whiskey it should only be done with an ice cube.

eddarr wrote in post #7112313 (external link)
I like the clear alcohols like tequila and vodka to be as cold as possible. Fresh out of the freezer with the bottle in ice trays.

IMHO, any GOOD quality booze, whether it be tequila or scotch should be drank at room temperature as the flavour is way fuller. I used to use cubes with scotch, but since buying better stuff, I quit that. :D

Nope. Technically, (Since his boss said he could have it) and it was already at my house before the ex called, it's not included in the 'I want to go through everything in the warehouse' comment by the ex.;)
And the alcohol is mine too. The ex isn't a drinker, so it wasn't hers, it had to have belonged to the boss. And he gave his stuff to Wade already. So there. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I am out of luck on the china though.
