We thought so also....wife and I had to carry it outside when the friend came over

Of course, ol SIL next door immediately says "who takes a chair outside for pictures? Doesn't she know that does not look right?" She was just jealous.

g'mae (if you can call it that...) all..

I'm not even bothering to catch up.

I'm quite pissed. My harddrive decided to go tits-up. I finally got Vista reinstalled whilst similtaneously pulling my hair out.

The good news: I now have about 1TB of storage on my computer, now. Unfortunatly my attempt at RAID1 didn't work too well... I was going to have a 500MB mirrored set, but no. Fault tolerance is not in the picture.

Oh well. Maybe I'll keep the important stuff backed up on the other internal drive, as well as the 2 externals I now have, should any one of the drives decided to die on me.

I'm pretty mad about it. I lost a good 2 months worth of photos, I lost a ton of work I had done on various small projects I was working on. I lost my templates, my actions, my quicken data, everything.

Oh, yeah... and my key to my car broke today.

FWIW, I just heard on the news the Ravens player that took that horrendous hit yesterday and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher is going to be fine. All his tests came back negative...

I heard that, I am so glad!

BTW Eli and I were able to discuss how much Puck would have loved the snuggie (external link) without any tears!! Any time he and I were on the couch with a blanket Puck wanted IN!! always between us and happiest when Eli would leave and he would get me all to himself.

Aw, that is good, Crissa :D

Holy crud Mike....what a day. Sorry about the loss of data and photos...that sucks each time I hear about it. Maybe I'll just go back up some of mine now. Did the key to your car break in the keyhole?

Thankfully, no. Just about did. It's only a $200 key.... Thankfully my wife had the other, so I just traded.

And a couple more:

(In the second one it's just sitting on top of a lens hood and adapter)

Ok, the first shot shows the film advance winding knob with the frame counter in the center. Around the base of the knob is the shutter speed setting dial. You'll notice the dial had both B and a T on it. The B is for "bulb," which works in the same fashion as it does on today's cameras, and the T means "Time." Time works in the same manner as bulb, except the shutter opens when you push the button and stays open until you push the button again.

The second shot shows the film rewind knob (the "R" with the arrow) and what appears to be an ASA (ISO) setting dial. This means that the camera has a built-in meter or (and a more likely scenario) it's a reminder for the photographer as to what kind of film is in the camera.

The third shot shows the DOF scale on the frame of the camera. This is a visual indication of how much depth of field you'll have at the apertures marked. You look at the distance scale and see what distances are between the marks for the aperture you're using. The numbers on the other dial in the picture is the distance scale.

The last shot shows the aperture setting ring on the lens and another view of the focusing distance scale. It's nice that they have it so you can see the distance scale from two different angles.

It's a pretty nice looking camera, Cat. You going to try it out? You got the manual with it, right?

I hope you have a better day tomorrow, Mike.
