Just because they were supposed to have them at a fairly good reduced price...at some locations. Ours didn't have much Canon stuff at all....They did have quite a selection of Nikon gear though.

I think Ick got his the other day for about $340 with taxes and such...they're listed at $490 w/o shipping at B&H.

wow I didn't know that. Maybe we'll stop by ours and see what's available.

go for it....the risk is do you wait, and let prices drop further but what you may want could be sold off, or do you get something now(ish) and risk paying more for it?

I remember when I was back in the UK for christmas / new years, with many stores closing down, in 2 weeks, prices went from having 20% off to having 80 - 90% off...and people just kept buying everything.

I don't know if they carry nikon. Some stores (like my favorite electronics store: Fry's) does not. But it's only about 25 min. away so we could go and see what they have.

they had nikon stuff in the boston stores, but i didn't pay too much attention to it.

the 1 canon lens they had was the 100-300 non-L lens, had 10% off at about $840 or something like that.

Or heck...if yours has all Canon gear...we could always trade. I think you probably have most of the lenses that our CC carried though...they looked like the pretty basic ranges. Now remember, that's not a sure bet cuz 1) I had a 2 year old toddler in my arms and 2) I'm not very familiar with Noink...I've got a buddy could help me though. LOL

I'm feeling napish. Anyone else? We had 5 kids here this morning, my 2 and a friend's two...I haven't really gotten to spend more than a few minutes with her at a time SINCE high school...I was really pleasantly surprised how much we have in common still. Kinda neat, actually. At the same time...I'm not such a "group of kids" person. One or two, bring it on...more than that is usually overwhelming, but gosh they had nice manners!

And I had to cancel my boudoir day tomorrow. :( No one followed thru...which stinks because there was a whole bunch of interest!

LOL, me too usually. Had these kiddos not been so nicely behaved, I'm not sure I'd feel quite as warm and fuzzy about it. They were really quite nice though!

LOL, females only for now, thanks. There's certain parts of male anatomy that well....eh, I guess I'm not all that interested in figuring out "poses" for.:lol:

My wife and I have fridays as our date night. It's nice to go out and do something together, even if it's just something simple.
