Ok, I think I found the perfect way to piss off a bartender: Order a pousse-café A bartender I knew years ago told a story about these. A customer ordered on and sat there while the bartender painstakingly prepared the drink, layering the liqueurs carefully, even to the point of pouring them down a spoon so they would sit properly. When the drink, which took 45 minutes to prepare, was finished he set it down in front of the patron and stepped back to receive his praise. The customer, who was a bit inebriated, reached over, stuck a spoon in the drink and stirred it up... Wouldn't be much of a loss... gjl711 wrote in post #7038456 Ya know. Ya gotta love the manual. I just checked and so'nuff. The light never turns green. See page 23. Blinkies means charging. No blinkies means full. I see so many questions that could be answered by reading the manual that I have downloaded pdf copies of all the Canon user manuals, even for gear I don't own. I keep copies on both the big computer and the laptop. It helps to answer questions people ask... Guineh wrote in post #7038958 Sonofa... yesterday, we go to the grocery store. Now, I have a major Coke-Zero addiction, I admit it, so we usually to save a few bucks buy a 24 pack. I pick up the package and notice that the 24 pack is no more, now its a 20 pack. .... For the price of a 24 pack, of course. ![]() sevillafox wrote in post #7039021 20 pack?!?! What's up with that malarky? Welcome to the economy... Kinda like the Dalmatian in the UK that gave birth to 18 puppies? Her previous litter was 15... thomascanty wrote in post #7039400 Yeah, I kinda got that impression, too... ![]() I've had quite a number of bosses in the nearly 25 years I've been working there. Most were so-so, a couple were pretty bad and two or three were absolutely wonderful. So far, I'd put her at the bottom of the pile. She's by far the worst of the worst. Of course, judging by the average turnaround for supervisors around there, I wouldn't be surprised if she's gone within six months anyway... Just wait her out. If you can retain your sanity that long... Harm wrote in post #7040156 You reminded me of when I was driving through Germany once. They had all these large trucks with wonderful advertising on the sides. I Googled it up, and found this website: LINK Just click on Sieger 2007/08 And in particular this truck: LINK Basically in Germany, they want to increase looks of trucks in the country ![]() I'm wondering if that isn't just someone's idea of clever, creative Photoshop? All the trucks are viewed from exactly the same angle and the artwork looks a bit too perfect. short5 wrote in post #7040689 My FIL dumped Canon back when they did that. They rendered his whole kit obsolete overnight. He was ticked off. They did it to bring an improved system but really screwed their old customers. Nikon was the only one of the "big four" camera manufacturers (Nikon, Canon Pentax and Minolta) that retained their lens mount in the transition from manual to auto focus technology. I was a loyal Minolta shooter in the 1980's and 90's but when the time came to shift to an AF system (in 1999), the Minolta mounts were totally different. I narrowed my choices down to Nikon and Canon, choosing Canon because of the price point and the fact that Canon had stabilized lenses available and Nikon did not. John

But I am wondering if perhaps since my raise was larger than it has been if they are foregoing the bonus. I don't want to ask as the bonus' are given by a board member anonymously every year and I don't want to seem greedy... Crissa
