I see threads on what did you buy or sell, but nothing on losing items. And lets face it, we all lose things ;)

Ill start. I managed to lose 14GB of memory cards (out of my total 18GB) some how in the process of moving. The funny thing was my camera gear was the first thing that I moved, and I put into my new bedroom 2 days before I moved the major things over. Ive searched high and low, in the trash and nothing. Very hard to take my new 50D out for a stroll with only 1 4GB mem card.

I lost the hood for my 24-70 in the middle of a mosh pit on New Years Eve.

I think I'm about to lose my sanity. Do I keep my 1D Mark III or switch to a 5D Mark II?

I lost the battery charger for my 400D. I hunted high and low for it, tore the whole house apart and still couldn't find it. I bought a new one from ebay in the end, as soon as it arrived in the post, I found my old one... in my camera bag

Thsi may be hard to believe, but last month I lost a 1DMKIIN !

I had just colelcted it from Fixation to have the shutter replaced (£300) and when I changed tubes on the way home, I jumped off leaving the bag there!

How stupid was that!

Thanks heavens for Insurance as I now have a MKIII, and cash left over to go towards a 5D MKII.

I have lost several things. The last thing that I lost was the hood hat off of my 70-200L. But it was so windy that day that port-a-potties were blowing over.

When I purchased an extended eyepiece, I remember putting away the original eyepiece somewhere. I searched for it everywhere, but I just couldn't locate it.
