Took my camera out at lunchtime a couple of days ago and took a few snaps around Bradgate Park as it was looking quite wintry.

Firstly a shot of the war memorial in the distance:

Rounding the corner of that spinney I got this shot of the war memorial alongside "Old John", a folly built on the hill there:

I also got a few shots of the fallow deer there. I could have done with a longer lens really as I only had the kit lens with me.

Nice, but a bit too contrasty for my my tastes, although that's probably only because I saw the overcast light that there was at the time.

I do like the trees on the left looking lighter. I pushed the fill light slider about as far as I comfortably could in ACR without it getting noisy, but I didn't do any dodging in PS afterwards so I might go back and lighten those trees a bit.
