These are some pictures that I took of my two year old niece in the park.
This is my first time posting pictures. I have a Canon 20D that is completely stock.
I definitely need a new lens and flash, but I have a lot more to learn about the camera first, lol. Any constructive criticism is appreciated! :)

She's a cutie! The photos are all underexposed a bit. Are you shooting in manual mode? What were you settings (fstop/shutter speed/etc..)? That will help us give you better cc. You have an adorable little model for sure!

Editing to add a play. Hope you like...it was a quick one, but I wanted to show you how one of them would look lightened up a bit... :)

I love it! Thank you! :)
My problem is that I shot these in Auto, now that I think about it.
I've had my camera for a while, but I've just been using it as a point and shoot type thing.
I really want to learn how to get the best photos that I can possibly get from this camera, though.
Can you recommend any good books, etc. that I can learn from?

lovely niece!

about book, i recommend 'Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. It is simple and very easy to understand.

Thanks so much for the help and compliments, guys! :) I really appreciate it.
I will definitely look into that book, too!

Oh and here's #4 again, with a little editing that I did to it:

Cute little girl! The photos seem a bit OFF, or is it my monitor? I like Arnold's edit.

Thanks for the compliments on my niece!
No, it's not your monitor. They're all underexposed. I took them in Auto mode. I am still learning about the camera.

Oh and that edit was done by Sorrell. :) I like it, too!

Good shots, could do with being a bit more in focus but like you say, still learning.
