The next camera will probably be a 1100D\T2 or a 600D\T3i. Canon loves cranking out the rebels every 3 months.

:p Canon kind of left us hanging with no appearance of a T2 or T1.

Why not have EOS 550D, Rebel 550D, and Kiss 550D, instead of 550D, Rebel T2i and Kiss X4. That is not confusing at all! ![]() It makes you wonder why they did it in the first place. Maybe it's because us Americans just aren't good of keeping track of numbers? My Gear

Why is there an empty space??? Making room for the 60d maybe? Nope. That's just a weird display of cameras. They have an icon for the USA and Non-USA names such as T2i/550D, and XS/1000D.

And if you can keep track of the xxD's by numbers then how can it be more difficult to follow the xxxD's or the xxxxD's by numbers!? aaso-photography

Now everyone's guessing, will there, wo'nt there be a 60D? And where does that leave the full frame/crop frame numbering, which once upon a time ran 1,3,5 for full frame? Richard

Because the 7D is not part of the xxD series, which I believe will continue. It's a high-performance camera for a sports shoots that can't fork up the dough for a 1-series body. It's also a high end crop for those that don't want to go FF or that can't spend the money for a 5D II. It is a step above the xxD series. Still leaves room for the 60D. My Gear

I;m sure we have had this argument in this thread, but what room is left? You have the T2i and the 7D already. How can you distinctly differentiate the 60D between those two cameras. Put the t2i sensor and video in the 50D and call it an upgrade? I think that would be a dissapointment. To me it would make more sense to just wait a year, drop the price on the 7D to $1200 and come out with a 7Ds or 7Dmk2, or whatever back at the $1800 price point. Repeat cycle every 2 years. Taylor

We'll just have to wait and see. My guess is that if we don't see a 60D by 2011 (or even November for that matter) we won't see one ever. Otherwise...just think what people will do if/when this thing gets announced? My Gear
