It was an extremely poor classification. The a850 and a900 are nearly identical and they should both be put next to the d700 and 5D2. That's why.

Have you shot with them and compared them?

Sorry but you need to take the a900 out since it was essentially replaced by the a850. Actually it was sony's way of lowering the price of the FF dSLR by $1000 and saving face. Taking 2% accuracy off the viewfinder and firmware change to limit fps to 3? Hardly a new model.

Take a900 out of the same class as the 1Ds3 - it's an insult to have it there!

A source for the A850 being the replacement for the A900 please.

As for you being insulted, well thats a the risk you have to take when your a hardcore Canonboy.

Paul L.

Canon Rumour has today a low-level suggestion that a 60D will be announced in February, alongside the IDs4.

The 1Ds4 rumour fluctuates between February and Autumn 2010, depending on whether its cloudy or sunny that day. But the 60D has been less talked about, except in general terms.

There has been a pretty consistent stream of rumors regarding the 60D coming out in Spring 2010. Hopefully they're true. However, if they don't get a move on and get it out before the 7D Mark II, then there will be no point in terms of pricing (and the depreciation of the original 7D's).

Feburary 9th canon is having announments... and other one late march early april.

I have big expectations for the 60D. It would be nice to see some of the most high-end HD video capabilities, also a flip out screen would be so usefull to get some of those shots that we would be required to stand on something high or lay on the ground.

I enjoy a better quality 3 inch display way more than a flip screen.

I dunno if I can wait till late march or early April. By then I'll have enough saved up for the 7D which will have rumors of the 7D mkII. Argh!! What to do?

There is zero chance of a 7D mk II in 2010. Late 2011 at the very earliest.

Ah, but rumors will start long before that...

The 7D is a good camera...we know that...but really, what are you gaining over the 50D? Not a whole lot really...a few MP's, slight boost in FPS and noise handling...

Not a whole lot? Try shooting rapidly moving athletes on a soccer or football field, or moving cars at NASCAR races, or birds in rapid flight, and you'll realize that the AF system alone is a HUGE upgrade over the 50D. And the "few frames a second" is an enormous necessity for those who shoot the aforementioned subjects. If you don't have the advanced AF and the high FPS you don't get all the shots you need, period.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

doesn't matter if you enjoy it... then don't flip it out! I'm the type of person that tries to get pictures from different angles so this would be awesome.

I doubt there will be a 60D at all. The 7D is the 60D.

Buy now. Stop worring about rumors. If you keep waiting for rumors to come true you wont have a camera.

I think canon will release something in the 1200 body only range. If thats called a 60D or not is a different story.
