Last time I was at Crosswinds I did get a shot of this guy having lunch. It was shot with my 100-400L ,I left the macro lens at home.

WOW, nice close up! I have the 100-400 as well but don't have any photos like that. I've only have had the lens about 2 months and I guess I need to get my head out of the sky (birds) and start looking elsewhere.

Merry Christmas Eve to all you Michiganders, be safe out there, it doesn't look all cleaned up yet. :)

Thanks Guys!! When I got the shot of the praying mantis I was out trying to get shots of birds ,ducks and the eagle at Crosswinds marsh. Thats why I had the 100-400 lens on.

Nearly 3 ft of snow on the ground yesterday and hardly any left today. Yes, winter is fun lol.

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

MI has the most predictable weather ever. I'm pretty sure it's going to be 89 degrees out, then Monday -12

Yes, we do have similar equipment but I think I need a 70-200L IS 2.8 to catch up with you.:)

This weather has been interesting, no coat yesterday, cold again today with wind so heavy it blew down a couple of trees preventing me from leaving my subdivision for awhile. If only the 50 degree weather could have held on a bit.

Granted, I'm no where near you in equipment, but I cant find anything interesting to shoot here.

It may not be easy, of comfortable, but if you look around hard enough, there's always something to shoot. Try something you have no interest in & make it look interesting. Maybe you'll learn something useful along the way. ;)

This wasn't exactly fun, but it was better than sitting around watching re-runs?

34 pages is a lot to sift through...I'm in East Lansing currently and could really use a group to go out shooting with! I've done about as much up here as I'd care to do by myself (safety, etc) because I'm a big fan of shooting industrial/cityscape and Lansing isn't the safest place to walk around by yourself with expensive electronics ;)

If anyone wanted to meet up and go exploring I'm all about it. Weekends are best (I work in Howell so it's a 2hr/day commute for me). :)
